Environment and Social Responsibility Policy

We Dig Media recognises that global sustainability challenges, including climate change, resource scarcity and human rights, are of critical importance and must be addressed.

We see sustainability as a business opportunity, mitigates risk and is an essential aspect of our business’s core values of Doing the Right Thing, Committing to Diversity & Inclusion, Leading with Exceptional Ideas, Putting Clients First, and Giving Back. We therefore integrate sustainability into the business’s activities through two main areas of focus:

• Solutions and Services: Ensuring our systems drive progress on key issues such as climate change, inclusive growth and the circular economy.
• Businesswide sustainability: Integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into our business activities and operations.

Lyndsey Maiden, is responsible for ensuring that this environmental policy is implemented, however, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of this policy are met.

• Continually improve and monitor environmental performance,
• Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts,
• Increase employee awareness

We are a carbon neutral business. All electricity used within the business is generated from renewable sources. We have planted approximately 2000 trees to ensure any energy used is mitigated further. We intend on generating our own electricity from renewable sources by 2024. Our web server meets the PAS2060 Carbon Neutral Standard. Furthermore, we tune the website so that it uses the smallest amount of energy possible, which also makes it load faster, which provides a better visitor experience.

We are plastic free. We do not use plastic in any of our processes.

We will not take on clients who actively work in a way which harms our planet or the people on it.

We take account of environmental and social issues when procuring for the business.

We support Fair Trade and only buy Fair Trade products where possible.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is a response to Section 54(1), Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relates to actions and activities for the financial year ending 2023.

We Dig Media is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking violations in its own operations, its supply chain, and its products. We have zero-tolerance towards slavery and require our supply chain to comply with our values.

We Dig Media has business operations in the United Kingdom. We operate in the website and design sector.

We make sure our suppliers are aware of our policies and adhere to the same standards.

Risk and compliance

We have evaluated the nature and extent of our exposure to the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our UK supply chain.  We do not tolerate slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains. Where there is evidence of failure to comply with our policies and procedures by any of our suppliers, we will, seek alternative suppliers who will adhere to these policies.
